How to reach the Department of Food Science from the Hotel
Friuli.
The hotel Friuli is located in Viale Ledra, while the Department of Food Science
is situated in Via Marangoni 97. When exiting from Hotel Friuli, turn on the
right and proceed straight for approximately 100 m. The road is ending in a
square, named Piazza XXVI Luglio. Turn left at the stop light and proceed straight
for about 15 m leaving the square on your right. Cross the road (Via Marangoni)
at the stop light, and immediately turn on the right, crossing Via Poscolle.
At that point you are in Via Marangoni and you should proceed straight for about
200 m where you will find the Department of Food Science at the number 97.
Udine can be reached from both “Friuli Venezia Giulia”, Trieste and “Marco Polo” Venice Airports. The distance from Trieste is about 50 km, from Venice about 120 km.
How to reach Udine from the Airport of Trieste.
At the arrival terminal there are buses that are leaving regularly from the
Airport to Udine. Please get your ticket at the specific booth. The bus takes
approximately 40 min. It stops in the central bus station and from there it
is convenient to take a taxi to reach the Hotel Friuli.
How to reach Udine from the Airport of Venice.
At the arrivals there are buses that are leaving every 30 min from the Airport
to the Mestre Railway Central Station, from there trains to Udine are leaving
every hour. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to get to Udine. Once in the
Railway station in Udine, it is convenient to take a taxi to reach the Hotel
Friuli.
How to reach Udine by car.
Motorway exit Udine SUD (coming from Venice, Trieste):
* keep on the ring road following the signs UDINE CENTRO (CENTRE);
* turn on exit UDINE CENTRO ;
* drive along VIALE VENEZIA;
* on the roundabout of PIAZZALE XXVI LUGLIO turn on the fourth street on the
right VIA MORETTI;
* keep on VIA MORETTI;
* follow the signs for HOTEL FRIULI.
Motorway exit Udine NORD (coming from Austria):
* keep on the ring road following the signs UDINE CENTRO (CENTRE);
* turn on exit UDINE CENTRO, exit VIA MARTIGNACCO /SPILIMBERGO;
* at the first traffic lights turn on the left to UDINE CENTRO;
* keep on VIA MARTIGNACCO;
* at the second traffic lights keep on the right side and follow the signs UDINE
CENTRO;
* keep on straight on VIALE LEONARDO DA VINCI;
* at the roundabout of PIAZZALE CHIAVEDALIS turn on the second street on the
right VIALE LEDRA;
* go over the crossroads with traffic lights and keep on straight on direction
VENEZIA - TRIESTE for about 50 metres. HOTEL FRIULI in on your right.
