In September 2006, I had the great pleasure of meeting State veterinary officials from over 20 countries at a workshop in Brussels hosted jointly with the TAIEX office of DG Enlargement. It was very satisfiying to learn how valuable AFSIS has become to my colleagues all over Europe.
